- NORMAL allows you to project the selected entities along a
- vector normal (perpendicular) to the projection plane.
-
- Indicate the method of transformation by choosing from the
- following options:
-
- MOVE - to apply the transformation directly to the
- selected entities. All non-geometric data relating
- to the entities is preserved.
-
- COPY - to apply the transformation to copies of the
- selected entities. Copies are created on the active level
- and retain the attributes of the original geometry. All
- non-geometric data relating to the entities is preserved.
- You can create as many copies as you want in one
- operation. The transformation for a given copy is
- applied to the results of the previous copy.
-
- JOIN - to apply the transformation to copies of the
- selected entities and create lines from join positions on
- the original entities to corresponding positions on the
- copies. The new joining entities are lines that assume all
- the current default line attributes. Coincident positions
- generate only one joining entity.
-
- Joined copies are created on the active level and retain
- the attributes of the original geometry; all non-geometric
- data relating to the entities is preserved; you can create
- as many copies as you want in one operation; the
- transformation for a given copy is applied to the results
- of the previous copy.
-
- Define a plane by choosing from the following options:
-
- 3PTS - to define a plane with two or three points in
- space. To define the plane normal to the construction
- plane and containing two positions, indicate two positions
- and press <Enter> for the third position. To define the
- plane containing three positions, indicate the three
- positions.
-
- PT/LINE - to define a plane with a point in space and the
- endpoints of a selected line by indicating the position
- using a Position Menu option and selecting the line.
-
- 2 LINES - to define a plane containing two intersecting
- lines (or potentially intersecting lines) by selecting the
- desired lines.
-
- VW/DPTH - to define a plane corresponding to a constant
- depth in a specified view. Enter the view number.
-
- Indicate the depth by entering the depth directly (VALUE)
- or by indicating a position at the desired depth, using a
- Position Menu option.
-
- ENTITY - to define the plane containing a 2-D entity or
- the plane that contains a line and is normal to the
- construction plane. Select a line, arc, conic, or 2-D
- spline.
