- EDIT TX (edit text) allows you to use the on-line text
- editor to modify text in existing dimensions, labels,
- disk-based notes, and keyed-in notes. The text editor can
- also be used to create dimensions with manually-entered
- text, notes with keyed-in text, and labels.

- Select the text entity that you want to edit.

- Edit text using the following text editing keys and
- menu options:

- Text editing keys using the standard alphanumeric keys:

- Home - to go to the beginning of the current line.
- Up Arrow - to move up one line.
- Down Arrow - to move down one line.
- Right Arrow - to move one character to the right.
- Left Arrow - to move one character to the left.
- End - to go to the end of the current line.
- Page Up - to move to the last character of the first
- line.
- Page Down - to move to the last character of the last
- line.
- Back Space - to delete one character to the left of the
- cursor.
- Del - to deletes the character at the current
- cursor position.
- Ins - to toggle between Insert Mode and Overwrite
- Mode. The current editing mode is displayed
- above the Text Editor Menu.
- Enter (Insert Mode) - to save all text up to the current
- cursor position. Creates a new line
- containing the text to the right of the
- cursor position. If the cursor is at the
- end of the current line, the new line is
- blank.
- Enter - (Overwrite Mode) to save all text up to the
- current cursor position and advances the
- cursor to the end of the next line.

- Text Editing Menu options:

- DEL LIN - to delete the current line and display the
- preceding line.
- JOIN LN - to join the current line with the following
- line.
- INS LIN - to insert a blank line above the current
- line.
- APPEND - to insert a blank line below the current
- line.
- DEL END - to delete all characters from the cursor
- position to the end of the line.
- SAVE TX - to save the edited text. If you are editing
- existing text, the selected drafting entity
- is redrawn with the edited text. If you are
- creating a dimension, label, or note, you
- are prompted to indicate a text position.
- ABORT - to exit the text editor without changing the
- text.
