  1. EDIT TX (edit text) allows you to use the on-line text
  2. editor to modify text in existing dimensions, labels,
  3. disk-based notes, and keyed-in notes. The text editor can
  4. also be used to create dimensions with manually-entered
  5. text, notes with keyed-in text, and labels.

  7. Select the text entity that you want to edit.
  8.  
  9. Edit text using the following text editing keys and 
  10. menu options:

  12. Text editing keys using the standard alphanumeric keys:

  14.        Home - to go to the beginning of the current line.
  15.    Up Arrow - to move up one line.
  16.  Down Arrow - to move down one line.
  17. Right Arrow - to move one character to the right.
  18.  Left Arrow - to move one character to the left.
  19.         End - to go to the end of the current line.
  20.     Page Up - to move to the last character of the first
  21.               line.
  22.   Page Down - to move to the last character of the last
  23.               line.
  24.  Back Space - to delete one character to the left of the
  25.               cursor.
  26.         Del - to deletes the character at the current
  27.               cursor position.
  28.         Ins - to toggle between Insert Mode and Overwrite
  29.               Mode. The current editing mode is displayed
  30.               above the Text Editor Menu.
  31. Enter (Insert Mode) - to save all text up to the current
  32.               cursor position. Creates a new line
  33.               containing the text to the right of the
  34.               cursor position. If the cursor is at the
  35.               end of the current line, the new line is
  36.               blank.
  37. Enter - (Overwrite Mode) to save all text up to the 
  38.               current cursor position and advances the
  39.               cursor to the end of the next line.

  41. Text Editing Menu options:

  43.     DEL LIN - to delete the current line and display the
  44.               preceding line.
  45.     JOIN LN - to join the current line with the following 
  46.               line.
  47.     INS LIN - to insert a blank line above the current
  48.               line.
  49.      APPEND - to insert a blank line below the current
  50.               line.
  51.     DEL END - to delete all characters from the cursor
  52.               position to the end of the line.
  53.     SAVE TX - to save the edited text. If you are editing
  54.               existing text, the selected drafting entity
  55.               is redrawn with the edited text. If you are
  56.               creating a dimension, label, or note, you 
  57.               are prompted to indicate a text position.
  58.       ABORT - to exit the text editor without changing the
  59.               text.
