  1. DIM VAL allows you to change the displayed dimension 
  2. values using the current representation mode, for example,
  3. feet and inches.

  5. Select the dimension for change.
  6.  
  7. The Prompt Line displays the value that represents the 
  8. true size of the dimension, ignoring scale or previous
  9. dimension value changes; for example, manually-entered
  10. dimensions. This tells you whether or not the dimension
  11. has been changed previously.

  13. Using a value greater than zero (0), enter a new dimension
  14. value for the selected dimension, and press <Enter>. Note
  15. that only the dimension value changes, not the entity
  16. itself.

  18. The text is redrawn with the new dimension value but with
  19. the same tolerance value it had before the change.
