- CHAIN allows you to create chain dimensioning with a
- maximum of 50 reference points.
-
- Select the axis for the chain dimensions by choosing from
- the following options:
-
- HORIZTL - to display chain dimensions horizontally between
- the selected points.
-
- VERTICL - to display chain dimensions vertically between
- the selected points.
-
- PARALEL - to display chain dimensioning parallel to the
- general direction of the selected points,
- according to the indicated axis position.
- Indicate the axis you want as your dimension
- axis by selecting two positions.
-
- Select a position to indicate the first witness line
- height. This position is used to calculate the witness and
- leader lines for the first dimension, but all dimensions
- in the chain are set to this same height. Two temporary
- witness lines are displayed on the screen to indicate the
- boundaries of the dimension to be processed.
-
- Indicate the dimension text position. This position
- determines the run, not the rise (or height) of the
- placement of the dimension text. The point you select is
- projected to the current witness line height.
-
- The dimension is displayed along with its leader lines.
-
- Indicate whether or not you want to accept the dimensions.
- If you choose NO, the dimension and its leader lines are
- deleted and the temporary witness lines remain highlighted
- until a new dimension text position is indicated. If you
- choose YES, the dimension is accepted and is displayed
- along with its witness lines.
-
- After each dimension is processed, new temporary witness
- lines are displayed to indicate the next dimension to be
- processed.
-
- Continue until all of the dimensions are processed.
