  1. CHAIN allows you to create chain dimensioning with a
  2. maximum of 50 reference points.
  3.  
  4. Select the axis for the chain dimensions by choosing from
  5. the following options:
  6.  
  7. HORIZTL - to display chain dimensions horizontally between
  8.           the selected points.
  9.  
  10. VERTICL - to display chain dimensions vertically between 
  11.           the selected points.
  12.  
  13. PARALEL - to display chain dimensioning parallel to the
  14.           general direction of the selected points, 
  15.           according to the indicated axis position. 
  16.           Indicate the axis you want as your dimension
  17.           axis by selecting two positions.
  18.  
  19. Select a position to indicate the first witness line 
  20. height. This position is used to calculate the witness and
  21. leader lines for the first dimension, but all dimensions
  22. in the chain are set to this same height. Two temporary 
  23. witness lines are displayed on the screen to indicate the
  24. boundaries of the dimension to be processed.

  26. Indicate the dimension text position. This position
  27. determines the run, not the rise (or height) of the
  28. placement of the dimension text. The point you select is
  29. projected to the current witness line height.

  31. The dimension is displayed along with its leader lines.
  32.  
  33. Indicate whether or not you want to accept the dimensions.
  34. If you choose NO, the dimension and its leader lines are
  35. deleted and the temporary witness lines remain highlighted
  36. until a new dimension text position is indicated. If you
  37. choose YES, the dimension is accepted and is displayed 
  38. along with its witness lines.

  40. After each dimension is processed, new temporary witness
  41. lines are displayed to indicate the next dimension to be
  42. processed.

  44. Continue until all of the dimensions are processed.
