  1. SERIAL allows you to create a series of dimensions.
  2.  
  3. Indicate the type of serial dimension you want to use by
  4. choosing from the following options:
  5.  
  6. CHAIN - to create chain dimensioning. You can select a
  7. maximum of 50 reference points for chain dimensions.
  8.  
  9. BASELN - to create a series of dimensions that have one
  10. reference point (the baseline point) in common. The
  11. dimensions are stacked so that dimensions of lesser value
  12. are displayed below dimensions of larger value. You can
  13. select a maximum of 50 reference points.

  15. Please be aware of the following notes:
  16.  
  17. * Baseline dimensions are only displayed in the view in
  18.   which they are created.
  19. * You must select all points of a baseline dimension 
  20.   before you create the actual dimension.
  21. * To automatically center dimension text, use DETAIL, SET,
  22.   TEXT, DIM PLC, AUTO CEN.

  24. RUNNING - to create a superimposed running dimension; a
  25. chainlike series of dimensions that have one reference 
  26. point (the baseline point) in common. Unlike baseline and
  27. chain dimensions, the text is placed at the top of the
  28. witness line and the text's angle is the same as the 
  29. witness line. The dimensions are all displayed at the
  30. witness line height indicated. You can select a maximum
  31. of 50 reference points.
