- CREATE allows you to create a string of ordinate
- dimensions on the horizontal, vertical, or parallel axis.
-
- Choose whether or not to align ordinate dimensions.
-
- ALIGNED - to create and arrange all dimension ordinate
- text corresponding to text positioning of the
- base ordinate.
-
- NON-ALN (non-aligned) - to create ordinate dimensions
- and text according to positions specified by
- the user.
-
- Next, indicate whether you want to dimension the
- horizontal, vertical, or parallel axes.
-
- If you select the parallel axis, use the displayed
- Position Menu and indicate two positions to specify the
- direction of the dimension axis.
-
- After you select the axis you want, indicate a location
- for the base (first) ordinate using a Position Menu
- option.
-
- This base ordinate is the beginning position of an
- ordinate string on the specified axis. All ordinates
- created after this base position are referred to as
- subordinates.
-
- Next, indicate a placement position for ordinate dimension
- text. Depending on the alignment method selected earlier,
- one of the following actions are taken:
-
- If you selected ALIGNED, the first text position sets the
- position for all other text in the string. From this point
- on, indicate the desired positions for dimensioning using
- the Position Menu displayed. Text is automatically aligned
- with the first dimension created. Press <Enter> when the
- string is completed.
-
- If you selected NON-ALN, text placement must be positioned
- for each ordinate created in the string. The leader line
- is drawn from the position indicated to the text
- dimension.
-
- Continue to indicate placement and dimension text
- positions for each subordinate.
-
- With the DIM MOD switch set to AUTOMAT, each ordinate
- dimension is calculated automatically.
-
- With the DIM MOD switch set to MANUAL, the on-line text
- editor is activated and you are prompted to enter the
- dimension text.
-
- To end the text input, choose the SAVE TX (save text)
- option.
-
- Press <Enter> when the ordinate string is completed.
-
- Avoid overlapping leader lines and text by positioning
- them around an imaginary box that has been drawn about the
- text in the direction of the axis defined (horizontal,
- vertical, or parallel). If a subordinate position is
- indicated within this text box, the text and leader line
- will overlap.
-
- <Enter> must be pressed to finalize a string of ordinates.
