Ginger Geoffery began her tour of duty at Empire Sports Network in April 2001 as a general assignment reporter. Geoffery left her position as a sports anchor for CNN Headline News to join the Buffalo based regional sports network. She spent one year in Atlanta at the national cable station.
Before working at CNN, she spent one year as a reporter/editor for Southwest Group Productions in Arlington, TX working primarily on “The Rangers/Stars Report”, a weekly show focusing on baseball’s Texas Rangers and hockey’s Dallas Stars. Her duties included live reports, interviews and features. She also worked as a contributing sports reporter for the Dallas/Fort Worth NBC affiliate.
Most of her work from 1992-99 was as a videotape editor. She held that title at KUSA-TV in Denver, CO from 1995-99, in Washington D.C. at WUSA-TV and WTTG-TV (1994-95) and at WTSP-TV in St. Petersburg, FL (1992-94).
Geoffery earned her bachelors degree in telecommunications/news from the University of Florida in 1992, where she also picked up a minor in history.
