Brenda Celeste has been on the WNSA airwaves since its inception in October 2000. She has served mainly as a talk show host on Saturday afternoons with Steve Manson, but has also filled in for other WNSA personalities during the week.
Brenda brings a wealth of broadcast experience to WNSA, including a stint on nationally syndicated “One on One” Sports as co-host of a sports trivia show with her husband Dan Locche. Her on-air skills were honed at WBUF, WWKB and WBEN where she broadcasted radio news. While at WBEN, she hosted a show titled “Ask the Vet” and was named the Broadcaster of the Year by the Niagara Frontier Veterinary Society for her work in that domain and also worked on the Buffalo Bills pre-game show providing features on some of the players and their wives.
Brenda is the producer of FAN-TV which airs weekdays at 4:30 on Empire Sports Network and has worked on the show since it began in 1996. Away from the broadcast industry, she has co-authored several books with her husband pertaining to trivia on the following cities: Baltimore/Washington, Boston, Buffalo, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York and Philadelphia. Brenda is also involved with many local causes including breast cancer awareness and fundraising and animal welfare.
Her education includes a bachelors degree from Buffalo State College in criminal justice and another bachelors degree in media communications from Medaille College. Brenda has many varied interests including golf, food and wine, movies, travel and reading. She has also seen every episode of the “Andy Griffith Show” and one day hopes to retire in Mayberry.
