- For more information on each function key, please page down
- this file...

- To view your mail, select the RECEIVE menu option. After a
- few moments, a scrollable window will appear listing basic
- information for each piece of mail that has been sent to you.
- Scroll through the list until you have highlighted the piece
- of mail that you want. Press ENTER or F2 to view the high-
- lighted mail. Press F1 thru F9 to perform the function for
- that key.

- <ESC> Exit from viewing a file, exit early from a command,
- exit from the 'RECEIVE' menu
- <ENTER> Select the highlighted mail for View/Print/Save/Delete
- ARROWS Move highlight bar up/down, next/previous screen
- F1 Browse this help file
- F2 View the highligted file (file placed in 'EZMAIL.REC')
- F3 Print the highlighted file, or multiple files if tagged
- F4 Save the highlighted file, or multiple files if tagged
- F5 Tag/Untag multiple files for multiple delete by F6 key
- F6 Delete one file, or multiple files if tagged
- F7 Qoffice filter of highlighted file before viewing
- F8 Forward the highlighted file to a user(s)

- <ESC>, <ENTER>, and ARROW KEYS

- Use the <ESC> key to backup or exit from the 'RECEIVE' menu
- mail screen. Use the <ENTER> key to process the highlighted
- piece of mail. Use the ARROW keys (up/down, home/end,
- pgup/pgdwn) to move around the mail screen(s).

- Selecting the F1 function key in the 'RECEIVE' menu mail screen
- will give you this help file of the function key descriptions.

- F2: View
-
- To view a highlighted piece of mail, use the F2 function key.
- This will bring down the mail to the file 'EZMAIL.REC' and
- EZMAIL will immediately take you into this file using either
- the default viewer or the viewer of your choice, unless if
- the file was sent as a 'BINARY SEND'. If the file was sent
- thru 'BINARY SEND', the mail will be decoded into a file in
- the EZMAIL directory and you will be notified of the file
- name.

- F3: Print
-
- To print a highlighted piece of mail to your PC printer, use
- the F3 function key. This will print the file to the device
- that is defined for use by the DOS 'PRN' command (normally
- LPT1:). This print function automatically performs a page
- break after every 56th line of the mail message.

- F4: Save
-
- To save a highlighted piece of mail to a PC file, use the F4
- function key. This will save the mail file to the default PC
- file of 'EZMAIL.BOX', or type in a file name or a '?' to get
- a directory listing of another file name to save the mail to.
- All mail that is saved is appended to the file name selected.

- F5: Tag/Untag(*)

- To do multiple file deletes, you must use the F5 function key
- to tag a highlighted piece of mail with a '*'. After tagging
- the files to be deleted in this fashion, use the F6 function
- key to perform the multiple delete. To untag a marked file,
- highlight the piece of tagged mail and select F5 to untag the
- mail.

- F6: Delete

- To delete the highlighted piece of mail, select the function
- key F6. The highlighted mail will be deleted from the Host
- server. To do a multiple mail delete, first select the mail
- to be deleted with the F5 function key. After doing this,

- select the F6 function key and EZMAIL will ask you if you
- want to delete all the tagged files. Select (Y) will delete
- all the tagged files from the Host server.

- F7: Qfilter
-
- To filter the highlighted mail, select the function key F7.
- EZMAIL will run the Qoffice style document through EZFILTER
- which will filter out the Qoffice specific characters.
- EZMAIL will then enter the filtered highlighted mail to
- allow to view the mail. The mail item will remain filtered
- until you move the highlight bar to another piece of mail,
- in which case you will have to refilter the mail message.

- F8: Forward

- To forward the highlighted mail, select the function key F8.
- EZMAIL will then ask you if you would like to edit the high-
- lighted mail (Y/N) and either edit(Y) or continue(N) depen-
- ding on your input character. EZMAIL will then ask you if
- you would like to forward this mail to one address or many
- addresses. If you select to mail to one address, you will
- then be prompted to enter the destination user's alias. If
- you select to do a mail many, you will then be prompted to
- enter a mailing list. After entering a subject, EZMAIL will
- forward the mail and when it is done, you will be returned
- to the 'RECEIVE' menu mail screen.

- F9: Reply

- To reply to the highlighted mail, select the function key F9.
- EZMAIL will allow you to edit the highlighted mail after it
- has reformated the mail message to show the original message
- mail by the sender. EZMAIL will then show you the Mail To
- prompt with the recipient address and will allow you to use
- it or to enter a new address. EZMAIL will then show you the
- subject and allow you to change it. EZMAIL will send the
- mail and when it is done, you will be returned to the
- 'RECEIVE' menu mail screen.
