- HOW TO SEND MAIL

- For more information on each option, page down this file...

- 1. Edit Mail Allows the user to edit a PC file that can
- later be mailed through EZMAIL.
- 2. Send Mail Allows the user to send mail to another user.
- 3. Mail Many Allows the user to send mail to many users at
- one time through the use of a Mailing List.
- 4. Binary Send Allows the user to send a file that is not in
- the ASCII format (ENABLE, EXE, etc.).
- 5. Attach File Allows the user to attach a PC file to
- another PC file.

- EDIT MAIL

- To create a piece of mail, select the 'SEND' menu and then
- the 'EDIT MAIL' option. The editor of your choice will
- loaded the PC file that you wish to send (PED is the default
- editor). The default file to edit will be 'EZMAIL.SND',
- however you may type your own file name or enter '?' to get
- a directory listing. Press the <ESC> sequence to save your
- message in an ASCII file format under the file name that you
- have specified.

- SEND MAIL

- To send a piece of mail, select the 'SEND' menu and then the
- 'SEND MAIL' option, the send mail process will then begin.
- You will be prompted for a file name to send. Enter the
- correct information or simply press <ENTER> to use the
- default file. You will also be allowed to append a signature
- file 'EZMAIL.SIG' if you have previously created one through
- 'EDIT MAIL' (the file name must be 'EZMAIL.SIG'). At the
- 'Mail To:' prompt enter the user alias or a list of aliases
- seperated by a comma or a blank space. You may also send a
- courtesy copy 'CC:' to an alias or a list of aliases as
- stated above. Your mail will be sent and a confirmation or
- error message will appear at the bottom of the screen.

- MAIL MANY

- To send a piece of mail to many users, select the 'SEND'
- menu and then the 'MAIL MANY' option. The mail mail process
- will begin. You will be prompted for a file name to send and
- a 'Mailing List' where the mailing list is a file previously
- created in the 'OPTIONS' menu option of 'MAILLIST EDIT'. Enter
- the correct information or simply press <ENTER> at each prompt
- to accept the defaults. Your mail will be sent to each user
- in the mailing list and a confirmation or error message will
- appear at the bottom of the screen.

- BINARY SEND

- To send a piece of mail that is not a regular ASCII file, such
- as an ENABLE or EXECUTABLE file, select the 'SEND' menu and
- then the 'BINARY SEND' option and the binary send process will
- begin. You will be prompted for a file name to send. Enter
- the correct file name or use '?' to get a directory listing,
- then press <ENTER> to send that file. At the 'Mail To:' prompt
- enter the user alias or a list of aliases seperated by a comma
- or a blank space. You may also send a courtesy copy 'CC:' to
- an alias or a list of aliases as stated above. Your mail will
- be sent and a confirmation or error message will appear at the
- bottom of the screen. On the receiving end, EZMAIL will recog-
- nize the file and decode into the EZMAIL directory and then
- notify you of the file name for the decoded file.

- ATTACH FILE

- In order to attach a DMINS mail message, you will need to use
- the 'SAVE MAIL' option of the 'RECEIVE' menu. Save the mail to
- the default PC Mailbox or to your own specified PC Mailbox. Tom
- attach a piece of mail, select the 'SEND' menu and then them
- 'ATTACH FILE' option. The attach file process will then begin.
- You will will be prompted for a PC file name to attach the PC
- file to and then the PC file name to be attached. Enter the
- correct information or simply press <ENTER> at each prompt to
- accept the defaults. Your selected PC file will be attached to
- another PC file and a confirmation or error message will appear
- at the bottom of the screen.
