- The Sequence Window is used to play Standard MIDI Files (Format 0 & 1).
- The window can hold up to 10 different sequence files. A sequence stored in
- this window can be run in the background while sounds are edited or
- auditioned. This allows the sounds to be developed within the context of
- their use and can be tested immediately instead of having to go to a
- sequencer.
-
- The top portion of the window contains options to 'Start' and 'Stop'
- playing, along with 'Tempo' and Sequence 'Looping'. The selectors 1 - 10
- show which seqence file is currently being used. The following selectors
- 1 - 16 show which channels are muted (highlighted or inverted indicates
- muting). The lower area contains a velocity map for each of the sixteen
- channels showing the MIDI activity which is occuring while the window is
- active.
-
- If tempo is set to 0 then the tempo within the Song File is used. When a
- tempo is selected, it over-rides the default. The tempo is changed by
- holding the Mouse down over the 'Tempo' selector. In the right half the
- tempo will increase, in the left half the tempo will decrease.
