- The Synth Driver Window is used to create a new driver to control
- communication with an instrument to load a particular type(s) of data. This
- driver also holds all of the information necessary for bank editing when the
- data loaded is a bank.
-
- The window itself is quite sophisticated and when first using it, you will
- probably require your manual. The window is comprised of 9 major sections
- which hold the following information:
- General - information required by all drivers.
- Bank Edit - parameters required for bank editing.
- Roland - special information for Roland when I/O Mode is 'Sgl'.
- Check Sum - information required for check sum in 'Sgl' Mode.
- Dump Request - the message for a dump request.
- Receive - text space for extended control over data reception.
- Transmit - text space for extended control over data transmission.
- Audition - control sequence to audition a patch from a bank.
- Extra Parameters - found in the 'Creator' Menu holds new parameters added
- since original window design.
-
- The lower portion of the window also contains hex to decimal and decimal to
- hex conversion routines. Sections of the window which are shaded out indicate
- that the parameters have no effect and are currently not available for
- selection.
