  31. I talked about Susan's fixing the line being illustrative of the depths
  32. of hypocrisy to which she had sunk, and your dig at this was designed
  33. to deflect my flame away from Susan and back at myself.

  35. I took your claim to mean that Susan was doing this all in fun, and that
  36. even clueless newbies should see that she meant it in fun.  But you were
  37. unsure that EVERYONE would agree with you if they saw Susan's slur of
  38. Doug, so you deleted the attribution line.

  48. I take it you have found a higher Hegelian synthesis, to replace
  49. the obsolete category called "truth" [the thesis] and "falsehood"
  50. [the antithesis].  Please share your higher synthesis with the
  51. rest of the people in this newsgroup.  Also the synthesis between
  52. the equally obsolete categories "good" and "evil".

  55. his higher synthesis, and I am so deficient in the higher thought that 
  56. I do not see that it is far more relevant to talk.abortion than such
  57. lower categories as abortion, fetal rights, the rights of women to 
  58. bodily autonomy, the question of when the z/e/f becomes sentient,
  59. and other similarly mundane matters.]

  72. Gordon is an unabashed atheist.  I respect such a stand, unless there is
  73. some indication that he arrived at his atheism in bad faith.  People like
  74. you, who talk about the priceless irony of making a U-turn to God--which
  75. of the hundred or so levels of irony do *you* perceive when reading the
  76. bumper sticker?--are the sort that I cannot respect, when this kind of 
  77. talk is coupled with the character assassination you post in this
  78. newsgroup.
