  12. Can anyone help me in Long Beach?

  14. I just received a card from my Dad's first cousin in Nebraska that
  15. another cousin who she has written since she was a child, they are in
  16. their seventies, has not responded to her letters since last Christamas.
  17. The cousin who is not responding is a retired librarian and was
  18. interested and very helpful with our Norwegian family research. Is there
  19. an association of retired librarians or perhaps someone have a passing
  20. aquaintance with her in the Long Beach Ca area?
  21.  
  22. Her name is Miss Virginia OSSEN oldest daughter of Charles and
  23. Bertha (GAUT) Ossen. Chas died in Long Beach in 1969. Virginia had two
  24. brothers, deceased. Albert OSSEN. I have a note that he may
  25. have had a daughter in GA Starr Ingrid CHAPMAN. The other brother was
  26. Larry. There is only one grandson who is the last OSSEN namesake in the
  27. family. I thought the cousin in Neb had this information but she says
  28. she never thought to write it down.

  30. We very much would like to resume correspondence with anyone in this
  31. Long Beach Family family. Other cousins are in Denver CO, San
  32. Fernando CA, Portland OR, Everett WA, Scarville, Leland and
  33. Ridgeway IA (PETERSON, FOSSE), Warren OH and here in MN in Lyon,
  34. Murray and Cottonwood Cos and the Twin Cities, but no others with the
  35. OSSEN name. Any help would be greatly appreciated. This family
  36. origianted in the Leikanger area of Sogne Norway and emigrated to Big
  37. Canoe  Winnesheik Co IA in 1868.
