- The key words here are "no longer obligated". They *may* still do so; it is
- up to them whether they will or not. As has been mentioned by a couple of
- other people, there are some bills now re-introduced to take care of the
- problem.

- There was a ruling by the Secretary of Commerce about this, followed by
- a clarification. It seems if you are looking *only* for dead people you
- don't have to get a PI's license. The ruling only applied to Professional
- genealogists. A PI's license in Ohio costs $250 per year, if I remember
- correctly.
