- How is this abuse measured? is it whatever the women (none of whom
- has ever been wrong on any substative point) say it is or is the
- husband even consulted (and if he is, who cares). I think that these
- ridiculous numbers just float off the top of some people's heads
- (there's certainly nothing to hold them down). Want to win an
- argument, just quote some outrageous statistic, it doesn't matter if
- it's accurate or even true, your cause justifies any device in its
- futherence.
