- Also don't forget that the crux of astrology (sun-sign astrology) is
- supposed to predict certain behavioral characteristics that are dependent
- on the Sun being in a particular constellation at a given time of the
- year. Sad to say, the astrologers have not kept up to date with the
- precession of the equinoxes, so saying I am a Gemini because my birthday
- falls during Gemini's dates in the newspaper doesn't help, since the Sun
- is _not_ in the constellation of Gemini then.
-
- Also, I wonder what the astrologers would do with the knowledge that in
- fact, during part of the year, the Sun actually is in the constellation
- of Ophiuchus, which isn't even on the list of signs in the daily newspaper.
-
- I'm not very well versed in the beliefs of astrology, so I don't have
- a feel how important this realization is compared to the other factors
- that influence horoscopes.
