  24. I have never met a motorcycle with a longer range than a car.  Period.
  25. There may be one, but the ones I've ridden got about 100-200 miles to
  26. the tank of gas.  Cars tend to get 350-450.

  37. This was brought home to me by a friend in Idaho who pointed out one
  38. simple fact of winter life.  He had to bring his car battery into
  39. the appartment when not using the car because the SULPHURIC ACID in
  40. it would FREEZE and break the battery if he didn't.

  42. Think about it.  Does the phrase 50 degrees F below zero mean 
  43. anything?

  48. Even in the warm toasty central valley of California, I've frozen
  49. my butt off in winter.  Doing 50 MPH in a 33 F rain for a half hour
  50. will convince you real quick that bikes are a summer passion...
  51. and even then, only for a select few who are willing to accept
  52. the risk to life and limb and don't mind bugs in the {teeth, hair,
  53. cloths,...}.  Or did you forget about all the grandmas and gandpas 
  54. and mommies with babes in arms?...
