- I think you missed the part about the corrector being covered with sleeks.
- This would indeed be expected to degrade the resolution. Moral of the story:
- Don't clean your optics until they are absolutely filthy. Less crudely put,
- an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure--keep your optics from get-
- ting dirty as much as possible so that you very seldom need to clean them.
