- Well...
-
- I just finished coffee and end tables. They were both based on the
- Woodsmith plans, but slightly modified.
-
- The coffee table was changed to be hexagonal, with the top made of
- pie shaped peices of oak ply with the grain radiating from the center.
-
- The end table was virtually the same as the plans except the top was
- made from 4 pie shaped peices to match the coffee table.
-
- If you try to do this, don't do what I did on the end table! On the
- coffee table I glued the border to the triangle (table top segments)
- and then cut both at one time to get a nice straight line. I started
- the end table the same way, and when I went to cut the triangle
- segments, I realized that the angle of the plywood is not 45 and the
- angle of the border is 45. (the table is rectangular not square) It
- made the project MORE difficult.
