  13.     Last night I looked through some old Track & Field News to see
  14. how well some luminaries performed in HS.  Jim Spivey ran 4:07.7 for the
  15. mile (I believe this was converted up from 1600) as a senior; 
  16. interestingly, as a soph he ran only 4:36.  Morceli ran a 3:40 1500 as
  17. an 18-yr old, clearly under 4:00 mile pace.
