- After four years in the suburbs of Seattle, with a trained Harris'
- hawk to help me spot the high-fliers:
-
- bald eagle (causes the Harris' hawk to lay prone and quiet)
- sharp-shinned hawk (regular winter predator at feeder)
- Cooper's hawk (occasional year-round feeder marauder)
- red-tailed hawk
- merlin (likes to bounce house finches off the windows)
- peregrine (several, like to come in and scope out the Harris')
