If this was a gradual problem over time:
Is there ANY flow thru the radiator? Disconnect the lower hose and
see if coolant flows FREELY thru the core.
If this occured suddenly:
This is a long shot, but the lower hose might acutally be
collapsed or clogged. Rare, but I've heard of it happening.
If all the above checks out, I'd suspect it's time for a water pump
