- Did your emissions 'upgrade' include an EPA 49 state emissions decal
- under the hood? If it did, you will only have to pay a one-time $300
- smog impact fee when you register.

- If the car doesn't have a decal then I suspect things might get
- complicated. They (DMV) definitely wanted to see that decal when I
- registered my out-of-state car here. Perhaps someone has done this
- and can shed some more light on the matter.
