- First, you're confusing terms there. A small engine won't 'approach
- the torque of a V8' by revving higher; but it's power. Typically,
- though not necessarily, V8's have a lot of torque at low revs and
- their power peak just a little higher, and low, low redlines. While
- smaller engines don't have that much torque down, but a lot of power
- at high revs (since power=C*torque*rpm).

- Large, torqey (sp?) engines feel very different from small high
- revving engines. You pick whichever you like the most. Me, I think big
- engines are good for trucks and luxury cars, neither of which I have
- any interest in. For sport[y|s] cars, like your example above, a large
- engine would be disgusting. Large engines tend to be sluggish and low
- revving, thus no fun at all on a sports car.
