  10. Can somebody point me to a source for an inline attenuator (preferably
  11. by mail order)?  Some friends have a *very cheap* integrated system,
  12. plus a standalone CD player, the problem is that the entire range
  13. of listenable volume is between 0 and 1 on the control.

  15. (No, the CD player does not have an adjustable output, but thanks for
  16. asking.)  What would be ideal is a cable, about three feet, with
  17. two RCAs on one end, a little box with a trimpot in the middle, and
  18. two RCAs on the other end.  Yes, I could make something, but I was
  19. hpoing for something a *little* tidier.  Thanks!
