- Haven't heard the NHT, but people say it is good. I own a pair of
- Advent Babys, which are just a bit smaller than the Graduate, and are nice,
- but they leave you wanting more. Just last night I listened to a pair of
- Paradigm Phantoms at a local Hi-Fi shop. DEFINITELY audition these bad boys.
- I think they run a little under $300, and they are VERY good speakers. With
- or without the sub, the Phantoms will do the trick on anything from Mahler to
- Ministry.
- You might also want to look up a Boston Acoustics dealer and listen
- to some of their smaller models. They aren't as precise as the Paradigms, but
- they still sound wonderful. I think the model numbers are HD-5, HD-7, etc. I
- could be wrong on that. You might also want to listen to Infinity SM-82s.
- They have strong upper bass, and are very efficient. They are 'rock'n'roll'
- speakers, and may not do well for classical, but they are very nice with 100db
- of Van Halen! Those should run you about $400, as they are a bit expensive.
- Godd luck hunting, and don't buy Bose! :)
