- If someone merely expresses a preference, it doesn't bother me a bit. But
- when the statement of preference is coupled with bogus technical arguments
- and unjustified attacks of the other side, it is quite reasonable to want
- to respond.

- There is far more heat than light, no doubt, but I have noticed opinions
- becoming more moderated and better qualified (my own included). A real
- changing of minds can happen too, but that usuallytakes time and does not
- happen when anyone is looking.

- Many of us subscribe for many reasons, and debating about what works and
- what doesn't, trying to isolate the causes of perceived preferences, and
- working through theory vs. engineering [vs. magic ;-) ], are all important
- issues in the audio world as well.
