  25. Most of the major BBS software (not to mention alot of other
  26. applications software) have echos on fidonet, and sigs on the other
  27. amateur and commercial networks.  In just about every case, those
  28. echos/sigs are monitored by representatives of the software
  29. publishers.  I suggest people post their complaints in those echos,
  30. for everybody, including the publishers' representatives, to see.
  31. Many of the advances we've seen occur because of broadbased,
  32. electronic, public, discussion.  And it tends to help that they
  33. have to post their responses about why they won't accommodate
  34. speech for everybody to see.

  36. At the same time, it also helps to give praise where it's due.  As
  37. the moderator of the {COMMO} echo, I've been cross-posting some of
  38. the laudatory messages here to Fred Brucker, the author.  But
  39. Willie is the only other person from this echo who I've seen over
  40. there, even if only to say "Thanks."  Believe me, it helps.
