- Most of the major BBS software (not to mention alot of other
- applications software) have echos on fidonet, and sigs on the other
- amateur and commercial networks. In just about every case, those
- echos/sigs are monitored by representatives of the software
- publishers. I suggest people post their complaints in those echos,
- for everybody, including the publishers' representatives, to see.
- Many of the advances we've seen occur because of broadbased,
- electronic, public, discussion. And it tends to help that they
- have to post their responses about why they won't accommodate
- speech for everybody to see.
-
- At the same time, it also helps to give praise where it's due. As
- the moderator of the {COMMO} echo, I've been cross-posting some of
- the laudatory messages here to Fred Brucker, the author. But
- Willie is the only other person from this echo who I've seen over
- there, even if only to say "Thanks." Believe me, it helps.
