- Summary: System reboots upon hangup
-
- I am having a problem using my modem in Windows 3.1. About 40% of the
- time when my modem hangs up, my system performs a cold reboot. I have
- checked quite carefully and there does no seem to be an interrupt
- conflict. The problem occurs only in enhanced mode, not standard mode.
- It happens both using Windows Terminal and Procomm Plus for Windows.
- Occasionally if I've used the modem during a session and my phone later
- rings, the system will reboot then also. Microsoft can not solve my
- problem. My modem is a generic Hayes compatible 2400 baud model, the
- company that made it no longer exists (I wonder why...). My system
- is a 386/33 Mhz using the AMI bios. Any help would be appreciated.

- Thanks,
