  19. NeWS *predated* Display PostScript by a substantial margin, so they were
  20. certainly not working from the DPS documentation when they implemented it.

  22. The fact that Sun had already implemented NeWS was a major sticking point
  23. in their (un)willingness to license DPS.  The fact that Sun had lots of
  24. bugs in NeWS, coupled with the advent of PostScript Level II, which
  25. represented an enormous amount of work on their part to be compatible,
  26. might well have contributed to their eventual licensing of DPS.
