  11. Hi-
  12. Has anyone tried to print scanned color photos on a HP 550 C printer?  I've  
  13. never seen such a printout and find the demo setup rather suspicious.  The  
  14. Bookstore here says that they're not allowed to hook up the demo model to a  
  15. computer to print anything besides the built-in print demo.  What you do get  
  16. with the demo printout is some solid color bar graphs and spots of pure  
  17. colors.  I'm not too impressed by that.  What I really would like to see is  
  18. the result of printing a scanned image of, say, a macaw parrot.  Unless their  
  19. marketing people are just dumb, I suspect that the printer isn't capable of  
  20. printing more than solid regions of color.

  22. On the other hand, I saw the new IBM color printer, and they printed out a  
  23. nice picture of a watermill in a forest scene.  I think they use the same  
  24. Canon print engine as the NeXT color printer.
