  34.            No conspiracy, probably.  NeXT is not a major UNIX platform 
  35.            vendor in the same league (i.e., machines shipped) as the others
  36.            named.  Data General, NeXT and so on are all covered by "etc."

  38. That is just not so. According to the most recent statistics which
  39. I've seen there are three major workstation vendors (Sun, HP and DEC,
  40. in that order) which are followed by a pack of minor vendors lead in
  41. unit sales by NeXT. Notice that this makes NeXT bigger than three of
  42. the four vendors listed.
