- If you use real OSs instead of DOS, then sharing IRQs is possible,
- if you use a serial board which supports it.
- Sometimes there are even Taiwainian boards which use only 1 IRQ
- for 4 or 8 serial ports. These boards are more expensive than
- the dumb ones, of course. They cost about 120 DM (ca. $70) here
- in Germany (4 ports). But these ones are sometimes
- difficult to get. Not all dealers who sell the real cheap stuff understand what you want :-)
