  12.     If there is someone out there who knows EXACTLY what fdisk does I'd like some
  13. help on the following problem:

  15.     Recently my system lost the primary partition information somehow, my primary
  16. partition shows up as a Non-Dos one.  My question is will fdisk destroy the information 
  17. on that partition if I delete it and set it back up as primary dos of exactly the same
  18. size?  I'm hoping if I do this and not format the partition the system may be able to
  19. boot again provided other information was not destroyed.
  20.     To sum up I'd like to restate the partition information, but not format, and recover
  21. that partition's data.
