  10. I just got SIO040.ZIP from pub/uploads in hobbes.nmsu.edu and
  11. installed it and downloaded many files with Qmodem.  I was running
  12. chkdsk on both my partitions, compiling a program, and viewing a
  13. 1024x768x256 color GIF image without so much as 1 ERROR, using Z-modem
  14. protocol.  One thing though, they don't mention this in the manual:
  15. * REM OUT BOTH YOUR COM.SYS AND VCOM.SYS DEVICE STATEMENTS IN YOUR
  16. CONFIG.SYS!  Otherwise it ain't gonna work!  Good Luck!
