  13. I managed to get X running fine on my computer, both in colour and in the largest
  14. resolution.

  16. However, I think something became corrupted;  when I type "startx", the screen
  17. changes into the correct resolution and mode, but does not run any of the files
  18. that it should.  Rather than changing to a blue screen and having the user place
  19. the original bash and clock on the screen, the scene background is the original
  20. X crosshatch in black and white.

  22. I checked the .xinitrc, and it is fine and my Xconfig hasn't changed (I don't
  23. think that would be the problem).
