- I compiled the 0.99pl4 kernel this morning ( from 0.98pl5 SLS ) with
- gcc2.2.2d and everything seems to work fine up until now. I compiled
- it with the 'autoconfigure serial IRQ lines' option set to no. I had
- kermit and Xfree work without problems up until now (typing this
- through kermit). It is the first time I build a kernel and it went
- without any difficulties. I just hope that I am not in for a surprise
- later sometimes.
-
- BTW I remember some posts mentionning problems with binaries when either
- gcc went from 2.2.2d to 2.3.3 or when linux went from 0.98 to 0.99. Could
- some kind soul refresh my memory.
-
- Thanks to all
