- Is your term program set at 19200, 38400, 57600, etc.? If so, make sure
- it's the estimated time for your modem to modem transfer, not modem to
- your computer. Your term program is sending data at 38400 until it fills
- up the modem's buffer. Then the term program no longer receives a CTS and
- must wait until the modem sends out its data at 2.4 - 16.8 kbps. After the
- modem is ready again, the CTS signal will be sent and more data is sent.
- The effect is the TXD and CTS lights going off and on in unison during
- long transfers. At 57.6kbps (my setting), when my Zyxel gets a
- stream of data for a minute that is <2:1 compressible, the CTS light
- will inevitably drop for the modem to "catch up".
