- PRELIMINARY CALL FOR TUTORIAL PROPOSALS

- Tutorial proposals are invited for The Sixth Australian Joint Conference
- on Artificial Intelligence to be held in Melbourne, Australia, 17-19
- Nov. 1993. Two half day tutorials will be held on 16 Nov., 1993. The
- topics include, but are not limited to, the following:

- 1. Innovative/Business/Industrial AI applications,
-
- 2. Knowledge acquisition,
-
- 3. Machine learning,
-
- 4. Neural networks and applications,
-
- 5. Knowledge based systems/Expert systems.
-
- 6. Planning and Scheduling,
-
- 7. Uncertainty in AI,
-
- 8. Fuzzy Logic and Systems.

- The proposals should contain the following information:
-
- 1. The goal of the tutorial,
-
- 2. A brief description about the tutorial,
-
- 3. Detailed plan including an initial version of the course materials
- to be used in the tutorial and the main references.

- 4. The names, addresses (both mailing and Email), Phone numbers, and
- Fax numbers of the presenters.

- 5. The background information of the presenters in the tutorial topic,
- including publication lists, teaching experience, qualifications,
- etc.

- 6. The prerequisite knowledge for the tutorial should be also included.

- The important points for the submission are summarised as follows:
