- Absolutely incorrect. The Electronic Communications Privacy Act (ECPA) of
- 1986 raises email and other communications to the same status as paper mail.
- It is a FEDERAL CRIME to read or tamper with someone's email (except for
- system operators, you can view it solely for insuring quality of service and
- compliance with other laws - this was a major sticking point of the ECPA).
