  17. Just a little while ago there was a newspaper story about the state of
  18. New York sending tax collectors to New Jersey to write down the license
  19. plate numbers of cars parked in shopping malls with New York State plates.

  21. They then sent the owners of those cars letters demanding that they pay
  22. New York Sales (or Use) Tax on anything they purchased in New Jersey and
  23. brought back to New York State.
