  34. Even more damning, he implies that there is more than one theory for
  35. the origins of species, which there is not: there are Creationists and
  36. theistic anti-evolutionists =CONJECTURE=, but they have no theory.
  37. He also implies that all theories should be assigned the same or
  38. similar level of consideration no matter how inane or impossible
  39. or improbable or just plane WRONG a theory may be--- Creationism is
  40. much like believing in invisible pink unicorns being responsible
  41. for pregnancy: "we must give the Pink Unicorn Theory equal time with
  42. the Copulation Nine Months theory! (because god said we must)."

  59. He is mostly harmless, until he tries to force his religion
  60. (Cretionism) into the public school system. He has the right to
  61. worship as he pleases, yet there is a large body of precident that
  62. limits that right of every citizen--- the "Mormon polygamy" laws
  63. were one of the firsts. Since Mr. Bales wishes to worship ignorance,
  64. propaganda, lies, deceit, and stupidity, he has every right to do
  65. so; just keep it out of my kids schools, Bales, damn your eyes!

  79. There was a time when I supported PETA financially. One day the
  80. PETA magazine showed up, and in it was the claim that Satanists
  81. run around the neighborhood kidnapping cats, specifically black
  82. cats, and this threat was very great--- great enough to hide black
  83. cats in doors at night. I wrote two letters to PETA asking for
  84. proof or evidence of their assertion, and gave them two phone
  85. numbers of people in the FBI and California Department of Criminal
  86. Justice Planning, and I suggested they call these numbers and get
  87. the facts. I told PETA that a cat, no matter what color, is far,
  88. far more likely to be killed by lightning or a falling aircraft
  89. than for religious reasons.

  91. Their reply? They suggested I was a Satanist, and asked me "why
  92. I didn't want people to know about all the cats that Satanists
  93. kill every year." Was I "hiding something?" "Trying to protect
  94. my cat-killing Satanist buddies?"
  95.  
  96. Needless to say, I stoped sending them money. The PETA folks
  97. would make EXCELLENT creationists. . . the facts are percieved as
  98. a threat, and nay-saying is percieved as proof of The Great
  99. Satanic/Evolutionists Conspiracy.
