  14. From the post I got the impression that 'donations' to the church are
  15. completely voluntary in the US. Is this true? Here in Finland, when you join
  16. the church (as most people do when they are born), you have a set tax you
  17. have to pay to the church of 2% of income. This comes into play only after
  18. you are 18, of course.
