  26. *sigh* all throughout the election and its aftermath I kept seeing
  27. history repeat itself; CO2, and the local gay community's reaction
  28. to it, reminds me of what happened in the Oregon gay community as
  29. a response to the OCA's first anti-gay success, Measure 8 (1988).
  30. In short: we were complaisent, we got suprised on election day,
  31. we spent a lot of energy afterwards pointing fingers at each other.

  33. There's just one thought I'd like to leave you with.  Remember,
  34. neither EPOCColorado nor the people in the community opposing 
  35. the boycott nor the people favoring it are to blame for this mess.

  37. The HOMOPHOBES are to blame.  Don't let them off easy by shifting
  38. responsibility to others in the gay community because we couldn't
  39. stop them this time.
