- Oh, the company could claim it was solely based on sexual orientation --
- especially if you had been an employee of Cracker Barrel "Family"
- Restaurants.
-
- Let us not forget the employees in Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, Kentucky,
- Virginia, North Carolina, and elsewhere fired simply because they were
- Gay or Lesbian. No work-related issues (performance, attendance, etc.)
- were stated, officially or "off the record", as the reason for their
- firings; the only reason listed for most of them was that their
- homosexuality precluded them from being employed by Cracker Barrel.
-
- Of course, Cracker Barrel never included "sexual orientation" in any
- type of official company policy -- but they _DID_ fire these employees
- explicitly because of their sexual orientation, so we should not see
- claims from any of the ChronicallyClueless (tm) that no one has ever
- been fired for "being gay".
