  16. The computer under my desk is a HP Snake and it has quite a few
  17. flashing lights.  The best is the one marked with a heart symbol: it
  18. "beats" two quick pulses every second to reassure you that the machine
  19. is still working.  The pulse rate doesn't seem to get any faster when
  20. the machine is excited, though, a bit like Hannibal Lecter.
