  40. No it isn't. So, we should "try" to avoid "ambiguities" in the case
  41. of gender and shouldn't attempt to do the same when speaking of other
  42. things? No. That theory doesn't cut much ice with me. If Rosemary
  43. *was* such a careful writer, she should have seen possible ambiguities.
  44. Anyway, my original claim stands. It is impossible to ALWAYS be TOTALLY
  45. unambiguous when writing/speaking. The meanings of words will
  46. continue to be inferred from their context.
