- I may sound gloomy to us humans but it seems to be the natural way of
- things. For one reason or another, species become exstinct all the time.
- Why should we be any different? Just because we are aware of our
- existance, have language and mathmatics doesn't cut of off from the
- natural way things work (evolution). Some that believe we are here to
- dominate the world and placed here by some sort of devine will instead
- of naturally evolving will disagree with me but that really doesn't matter.
- Time will tell.
-
- There is also a theory called Gaia that says that the earth is a living
- being and will eventually get rid of those that continue to ravage her
- body.
-
- Some articles I have read say that it's too late already. We have passed
- the point of no return when it comes to pollution and population and
- it's just a matter of time before suffering becomes a way of life for
- most of the planet. All we can do is prolong the inevitable. Not a very
- pretty picture but you got to admit it's interesting.
