  13. Is anyone working on asymptotic economics? May be it is called 
  14. steady-state economics. What is being aimed for? What percentage
  15. of land do we intend to develop? How much longer should we measure
  16. success by an increase in the GNP?
  17. Why are we more concerned with jobs and the jobless rather than what
  18. these jobs contribute to a more general well-being? Why should I be
  19. more concerned that a lumberjack loses his job (effect less than 80 years)
  20. than that a tree has been saved (effective longevity likely
  21. more than 100 years)?
  22. If this is not the correct forum for raising these issues, where may
  23. they be better discussed?
