- Is anyone working on asymptotic economics? May be it is called
- steady-state economics. What is being aimed for? What percentage
- of land do we intend to develop? How much longer should we measure
- success by an increase in the GNP?
- Why are we more concerned with jobs and the jobless rather than what
- these jobs contribute to a more general well-being? Why should I be
- more concerned that a lumberjack loses his job (effect less than 80 years)
- than that a tree has been saved (effective longevity likely
- more than 100 years)?
- If this is not the correct forum for raising these issues, where may
- they be better discussed?
